چکیده
One of the most valuable approaches in spatial analysis for a better understanding hydrological response region or watershed is certainly well-known land use cover (LULC) dynamicity. The present case study delves deeper into LULC dynamicity by using digital Landsat TM and OLI data to classify Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority (KMDA) seven classes with over 90% classification accuracy decadal level assessments 30 years (for 1989, 1999, 2009, 2019). change index, Dematel method analyzing cause-effect relationship among classes, Jaccard Similarity Index measuring nature similarity Adherence consistency after transition was used this analyze transformation. In more detail, considers how urban altering at expense other uses. Besides shifting pattern mean centers through time, also gives very significant insight dynamics span. current transformation patterns KMDA area expected assist planners, engineers, administrators sustainable decisions policies ensure inclusive urbanization that accommodates population growth while minimizing impact on potential natural resources within whole area.

Dynamics of land use and land cover change (LULCC) using geospatial techniques: a case study of Islamabad Pakistan
One of the detailed and useful ways to develop land use classification maps is use of geospatial techniques such as remote sensing and Geographic Information System (GIS). It vastly improves the selection of areas designated as agricultural, industrial and/or urban sector of a region. In Islamabad city and its surroundings, change in land use has been observed and new developments (agriculture,...
متن کاملLand cover land use mapping and change detection analysis using geographic information system and remote sensing
Land cover/land use categories are relevant components in land management. Understanding how land cover/land use change over time is necessary to assess the consequences of humans and natural stressors on the earth’s environment and resources. The aim of the study was to map and monitor the spatial and temporal change in land cover/land use for the periods of 1977, 1991 and 2016 and to predict ...

In this paper, we report a geospatial assessment of the selected mine sites in the Plateau State, Nigeria. The aim of this work is to determine the impact of mining on the terrain as well as the Land Use/Land Cover (LULC) of the host communities. The Shuttle Radar Topographic Mission (SRTM) is used for the terrain mapping. The derived impact of mining on LULC between 1975 and 2014 is determined...
متن کاملThe Impact of Land Use/Land Cover Changes on Groundwater Resources Using Remote Sensing & GIS (Case Study: Khan-Mirza Plain)
Hydrological status and water table fluctuations are directly related to land use and/or land cover (LULC) changes in each area. In this research, the impact of LULC changes on groundwater quantity and quality of Khan-Mirza Plain, in the northern Karun watersheds, was investigated. For this purpose, Landsat 5, 7 and 8 satellite images and ETM and OLI sensors were employed to prepare the L...
